The BEST Reuben
Reubens' combine corned beef, sauerkraut, dressing, swiss cheese and rye bread. While all unique on their own, they create a delicious and appetizing sandwich.

- 1 cup Sauerkraut Squeeze excess juice out.
- 6 slices Swiss Cheese
- 12 slices Rye Bread
- 2 tbsp Butter
Corned Beef
- 5 lb Corned Beef Brisket
- 6 cloves Garlic
- 1 Onion Sliced
- 2 tbsp Browning Sauce
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1 tbsp Oil
Dressing
- 1/2 cup Light Mayo
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tbsp White Vinegar
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Sweet Pickle Relish
- 2 tsp White Onion Finely Chopped
- Dash of Pepper
- Dash of Salt
Corned Beef
Preheat oven to 275.
Throw away seasoning packets and remove corned beef. Brush with browning sauce on all sides.
Heat oil in pan over medium heat and brown brisket. (5-8 mins a side)
Place brisket on a rack in a roasting pan.
Brown onions and garlic in same pan for 3-5 minutes. Add them on top of the corned beef.
Cover pan with aluminum foil and cook for 6 hours.
Brisket should fall apart after about 6 hours. Shred and use for sandwiches.
Sandwich
Butter a skillet on low-medium heat.
Butter your bread slices on one side. Place butter side down in the pan.
Top with desired amount of dressing, sauerkraut, slice of swiss cheese, corned beef, and the other piece of bread. Flip after a few minutes and toast both sides. Repeat for the remaining sandwiches.
Serve immediately with additional dressing for dipping.
