The Best Sweet Potato Casserole

One of my favorite sides during the holidays is this creamy, delicious sweet potato recipe. Topped with sugared pecans, this recipe tastes amazing along with your favorite holiday dishes.

Ingredients
  

Sweet Potato Filling

  • 1/2 stick Butter
  • 4 Large Sweet Potatoes (peeled and diced)
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Eggs

Pecan Topping

  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 stick Butter (melted)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt ES
  • 3/4 cup Pecans (chopped)

Instructions
 

  • Add potatoes to pot with water.
  • Bring to boil and simmer for 15-20.
  • Drain potatoes, mash and let cool. Add other seasonings to the cooled potatoes and set aside.
  • Add all topping ingredients to a small bowl and combine.
  • In a 9x13 pan, add mashed potatoes to the bottom.
  • Top with the topping mixture and bake for 25 minutes. Should have a golden crispy top with a gorgeous creamy filling. Enjoy!
